Eli is 12 years old. She's been 12 for over 200 years, and she just moved in next door.

In a bleak Stockholm suburb, withdrawn boy Oskar forms an unlikely bond with Eli, his enigmatic young neighbour. She emerges only at night, moving through frozen darkness with predatory grace—because Eli is a vampire, sustained by blood and ancient hunger.
