Lonely misfit Arnie Cunningham buys a dilapidated 1958 Cadillac named Christine and becomes obsessed with restoring her to pristine condition. As the car magically regenerates and takes on a sinister sentience, Arnie transforms from wallflower to arrogant seducer—but Christine will destroy anyone who threatens their bond. His best friend and girlfriend watch helplessly as the automobile itself becomes his master, turning love into possession and jealousy into murder.
