An Arctic fishing trawler hauls up a mysterious capsule from the frozen depths, unleashing something far older than human history. The crew soon realizes they've retrieved not salvage, but a shapeshifting extraterrestrial organism capable of grotesque metamorphosis. Trapped aboard in isolation, they face a creature that rewrites the rules of survival.
