San Francisco in the 1970s descends into paranoid terror as identical duplicates replace sleeping citizens, grown from alien pods that perfectly mimic human form and memory. A health inspector and a handful of witnesses race to expose the invasion before the entire city falls under the control of an emotionless collective consciousness. Trust becomes impossible, and survival depends on staying awake in a world where your loved ones may no longer be human.
