Talk to Me revives the J-horror blueprint of contagion through technology — the handheld glass replaces the cursed videotape, yet obeys identical logic: collective possession, unstoppable escalation, group contamination. Philippou's direction captures mass hysteria with formal precision; the contorted bodies of the possessed evoke less demonic invasion than crowd psychology warped supernaturally. Where it diverges from K-horror is in its rejection of moral ambiguity: the teenagers aren't tragic accomplices but casualties of a paranormal apparatus spreading like viral gameplay, each séance a fresh infection vector.
